For the good of one and all, So Mote It Be.
O
Great God of Light,
I thank you for the gift of living
and of sharing with others.
I thank you for knowledge and wisdom
and for the chance to learn.
I thank you for strength and guidance
and for the chance to become who I am.
I thank you for life and laughter
and for the chance to know joy.
O great Goddess of Love
I thank you for the gift of loving
and of being worth the love of others.
I thank you for beauty and wonder
and for the chance to be in awe.
I thank you for the love of others
and for the chance to be together.
I thank you for the love of the divine
and for the chance to be within it
in this life and in all.
Spirit
of the universe,
from both within and beyond,
by which we know as God and Goddess,
we seek to know and experience
your wisdom and beauty through
this act of worship and prayer we call meditation.
Help us to see beyond the dark veil of separateness into the light
of unity.
Help us to learn, grow, and be filled with your wisdom and love.
O Lady of unending love,
teach me compassion
that I may help to make the world stronger
through understanding and love.
I wish to do this for others
as I wish to do this for myself
for compassion is the bond of living.
Give me the strength and courage
to walk the path of compassion.
O Lord and Lady
O Child of wonder,
give me the strength
to continue to walk the path
to your knowldge, love and understanding.
I know the path is long and winding.
I know that it will be full of challenges,
but such is the path of truth and freedom
for I do not follow the blind course of others.
I follow yours which is also mine.
I have chosen this way of my own free will.
As I honor the gods from within and beyond,
let that praise become my beacon of guidance
as I continue ever forward.
O God of Light,
as you are patient in bringing your light to the world,
teach me patience.
O Goddess of Love,
as you are patient in bringing us together,
teach me patience.
O Child of Life,
as you are patient in returning to the Spirit,
teach me patience.
Great Gods of ancient times,
I call upon you
to give me the faith I need
to carry on in your name.
As a student of your mysteries,
I know that I cannot know all things
but I know that I can believe.
Show me the way to see what cannot be seen.
Open up my mind’s eye.
Let me be strong in my convictions
for I shall follow my heart
where you shall lead it.
Open my mind, fill me with love,
speak to me in your silent whispers,
show me truth in the ways of your children.
If I can do these things
and act with good intent
in all that I do,
I know I shall be filled with your blessings
and shall live in faith.
O Sweet Goddess,
with you I can remain hopeful
for yours is the unending love
of all things and all times.
O Strong God,
with you I can remain hopeful
for yours is the unending fortitude
needed to always carry on.
O Gentle Child,
with you I can remain hopeful
for yours is the dark mystery
from which all answers can be sought.
Gods if the unending power of hopefulness,
give me hope,
O great Goddess of Love.
You have shown me how love
is important in my life and the lives of others.
Let me hold fast to this truth.
Let me learn to love myself and to extend that love
to those beyond me.
For love is the binder of all things.
Teach to recognize when I stray
from the teachings of love
and show me how to find my way back to you.
Teach me love that knows no limits.
Show me how to give love as well as receive it.
Thus, I will be blessed by you for all of my days.
O Sacred Child of Life
It is to you I call in these times of stress.
You are the secret mystery of Life.
You are the silence in the center of the turning wheel.
Teach me to hear the silence.
Teach me to be still and calm.
Let me think of you and only you
so that my mind my find its center.
Let me relax my body.
Let me unwind my emotions.
Let me unravel the bonds around my soul.
Like a great ocean,
show me how to still the waters,
wave by ever slowing wave,
until they become ripples
then simple undulations
until the waters are calmed.
O
Great God of strength,
I see the boldness of your fortitude
shining in the brightness of the sun.
Give me the same strength to face my fears.
Show me how to unshackle the bonds of my fear.
Give me clear insight to see beyond this wall I face
to the other side.
Fill me with your power until I know
that I can take on this fear.
Show me the causes of my fear
so I may uproot them like weeds
and toss them aside
until my field of vision is clear
and I may move forward, ever forward
with the strength of your light within.
