Lectures and Workshops
All
articles are currently being put together into a book of essays to be
published in the future.
The following is a list
of lectures and workshops that I can present:
Workshops
- Sacred Listening (1
or 2 hours)
- This workshop is
based on my book: “The Five Rings: A Guide to Pagan
Ministry.”
- It will cover three
main areas:
- an explanation of
Sacred Listening;
- why Sacred Listening
is important to Pagan leaders and others; and
- the basic components
of Sacred Listening.
- The workshop will
include:
- exercises for groups
of two or more people.
- Pagan Meditation (1
hour)
- This workshop is
based on my book: “Just Being: A Pagan Guide To Meditation.”
- It will cover these
areas:
- an explanation of
meditation;
- the benefits of
meditation for health and spiritual practice; and
- an explanation of
the application of Pagan principles to meditation.
- The workshop will
include:
- some stretching and
preliminary work
- one or more group
meditations
- Pagan Tai Chi (1
hour)
- This workshop is
based on my book: “Just Being: A Pagan Guide To Meditation.”
- It will cover these
areas:
- a basic explanation
of Tai Chi
- the meditative and
other benefits of Tai Chi
- how Pagan concepts
can be applied to Tai Chi
- The workshop will
include:
- learning my own form
of Pagan Tai Chi step-by-step
- putting the form
together
- Pagan Tea Ceremony
(1 hour)
- This workshop is
based on my book: “Just Being: A Pagan Guide To Meditation.”
- Tarot Advising (2
hours)
- This workshop is
based on my book “The Worlds of Tarot.”
- It will cover these
areas:
- an explanation of my
system for reading cards without books
- how Tarot can be
used for non-professional counseling
- The workshop will
include:
- practice reading the
cards
- practice using the
cards for advising sessions
- Story Reading for
Children (1 hour)
- This workshop is
based on my children's books.
- The workshop will
include:
- reading several
different Pagan books (both mine and others)
- Teaching Paganism to
Children (1 hour)
- This workshop is
based on my book: “Pagan Degrees For Children.”
- The workshop will
cover these areas:
- the philosophy and
goals of the system
- an explanation of
the children's degree system
- an explanation of
the award system
- The workshop will
include:
- a brief dedication
ritual designed especially for children
